SAILS

With an 8/9 rig the Privilege 585 has a 79ft mast in lacquered aluminium alloy, self-standing with single spreaders, balanced by cap shrouds and lower shrouds, a forestay and baby stay. So, whatever the conditions of the wind and sea, it’s easy to adapt the sail area to the demands of the weather and to keep the boat in perfect balance. Both powerful and efficient, the hydraulic steering and electric winches make manoeuvring child’s play on all points of the wind, and a furling gennaker is a real pleasure.

DECK FITTINGS

A simple deck layout makes movement easier and safer. As soon as you climb aboard, the wide transom skirts give a great sense of security. The cockpit, on one level and in the shelter of its bimini, provides a unique space, free of any sheets. The ease of movement on deck is astonishing. The side decks are broad, making it safe to move forward for lounging on the trampolines, for access to the mast or the numerous stowage lockers. The pod, the unmistakable hallmark of the Privilege range, stiffens the structure, spreads the rigging loads and offers incomparable interior space.
